The Peoria Police Department held its annual Police Memorial Service and Awards Program today, May 14^th. Following the Memorial Service, the Awards Program was held in the City Council Chambers at City Hall.

The Officers and Civilians recognized for accomplishment in 2013 are as follows:

2013 Police Officer of the Year: David Buchanan

2014 American Legion Meritorious Award: Lee Braun

2013 Civilian Employee of the Year: Doug Ward

2013 Life Saving Valor Award: Christopher Lenover
