The Peoria Symphony Orchestra concert The American Songbook will be broadcast on WTVP on Friday, May 23 at 8:00 pm. This new performance series entitled Sound Bites is hosted by Music Conductor George Stelluto and features an intimate concert with exceptional guest artists. This broadcast with feature baritone Nathaniel Olson with Kevin Murphy on piano.

A native of Vernon Hills, Illinois Nathaniel Olson, is actively performing recitals and concerts throughout the United States. Performances in 2014 include a Carnegie Hall Neighborhood Concert, a recital at Hanover College, on tour with the Ravinia Festival Steans Music Institute at the Tucson Desert Song Festival, and the Brahms Requiem with the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic.

The “Sound Bites” series is generously underwritten by Flo and Sid Banwart as a project designed to extend the cultural impact and presence of the PSO beyond concerts and on the stage. The project involves performing and recording these performances for broadcast on WTVP.
