The City of Peoria, in conjunction with All-America City Committee, is hosting “Celebrating Peoria: You Told Us”, a community celebration of the one year anniversary of the All-America City award.  At the event, the art initiative which asked residents and visitors “why” Peoria is in fact an All-America City will be unveiled. The event will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Peoria Riverfront Museum (222 SW Washington St., Peoria, IL, 61602).  

Please note that the event’s program and presentation of awards will begin at 5:20 PM and conclude at approximately 5:45 PM. If weather permits, the event will be held on the Sun Plaza, with the program at the front entrance of the Museum. Should it rain, the plan is to hold the event in the lobby of the Museum, including the program. The only piece of the event that would remain outdoors is the unveiling of the final art piece.
