Midwest Women Artist Project Symposium
The Bradley Art History Program, the Women’s History Program and the Illinois Women Artists Project with support from the Inland Visual Studies Center and the Peoria Riverfront Museum will present the Midwest Women Artists Symposium, an interdisciplinary symposium exploring the experiences, artworks, and legacies of Midwest women artists working between 1940 and 1960, on October 22 and 23.
The symposium opens Thursday afternoon with a tour of the exhibition, Making Their Mark: Illinois Women Artists, 1940 to 1960, at Peoria Riverfront Museum. At 5 p.m., Robert Cozzolino, PhD, will give the keynote address at the Caterpillar Global Communications Center on the Bradley campus.
On Friday, panels, presentations and discussions will be held in the Peplow Pavilion in the Hayden-Clark Alumni Center at Bradley. See the full schedule at http://iwa.bradley.edu/symposium/schedule.
