Peoria Players Theatre presents Twelve Angry Men directed by Dr. Mike Decker and Amy De Trempe-Williams. This drama focuses on a jury’s deliberations in a capital murder case. Tempers are short, arguments grow heated and the jurors become 12 angry men. The final verdict and how it is reached is presented in tense scenes that will electrify audiences and keep you on the edge of your seat! Peoria Players Theatre also announces auditions for the regional premiere of A Christmas Carol The Musical directed by Mary Ellen Ulrich. With music by Lynn Ahrens and Alan Menken, the production is a musical extravaganza which ran for 10 years at Madison Square Garden, and in 2004 this version became the basis of an NBC Hallmark Entertainment special. There are many adaptations of A Christmas Carol out there, but only one Broadway version! This exciting rendition of the classic tale will delight the entire family. A Christmas Carol The Musical calls for a large cast of all ages; many have solos and duets, but also a strong, large chorus is needed to perform this magnificent Broadway music! Auditions will be held at University United Methodist Church, 2818 N. University in Peoria, on Friday, October 5 at 6:30 pm and Saturday, October 6 at 10:30 am. It is required that you bring sheet music, or you may sing from an “accompaniment only” CD. Please choose a Broadway Show and bring shoes to dance. Show dates are December 7-16.
