(Peoria, IL) – Stacy DeJaynes, Director of Growth and Innovation at Methodist Medical Center, is the recipient of the 2012 Q Award from Quality Quest for Health of Illinois. The Q Award is an annual award of the Quality Quest Board of Directors presented to an individual or organization that advances the mission and vision of Quest: achieving exceptional patient service and outcomes, building healthy communities, and promoting high value healthcare.
DeJaynes was recognized for her service as a member of the Quality Quest Healthy Lifestyles School Project Team, which resulted in the creation of the Central Illinois Wellness Council. DeJaynes is president of the multi-stakeholder group that works to improve health and wellness in the Peoria area. One focus of the council is reducing adolescent obesity through multiple programs that educate students about nutrition and exercise.
“Stacy exemplifies the goals of the Q award with her leadership and guidance of the Central Illinois Wellness Council,” said Dr. Gail Amundson, President and CEO of Quality Quest.
