“Life is a banquet” in this beloved favorite with music and lyrics by Jerry Herman. The story is set in New York during the Great Depression and World War II, while focusing on eccentric bohemian Mame Dennis. Her fabulous life with her wealthy friends is interrupted when the young son of her late brother arrives to live with her. They cope with the Depression in a series of adventures. Popular songs include “Mame,” “We Need a Little Christmas,” “Bosom Buddies” and “That’s How Young I Feel.”
