Peoria Area Community Events (PACE) has released its event schedule for 2013 which includes the inaugural Cajun Festival on Saturday, March 2 at Exposition Gardens. The event will include great Cajun-style food and live entertainment from 4:00 p.m. to midnight. The live entertainment includes the Bradley Jazz Band, Todd Kelly Jazz Quartet and Zydeco Crawdaddy’s.

17th annual Yule Like Peoria on Nov. 29
32nd annual Taste of Peoria on August 14
42nd annual Steamboat Festival on June 13-15

Formed in 1989, today PACE coordinates numerous events in line with the mission of contributing to the quality of life in the Peoria Area by involving the community in events that celebrate and reinforce pride in the community. The entire planning, management and administrative functions are done by the board chairs and volunteers of each committee. Funding for PACE activities is generated primarily from beverage sales, food sales, sponsorship contributions, admission fees, entry fees and booth fees. The revenue producing events such as Steamboat Days and Taste of Peoria support our non-revenue events such as Brown-Bag It Series, Santa Parade, Labor Day Parade and Yule Like Peoria
