PSO MUSIC DIRECTOR GEORGE STELLUTO PRESENTATION TO HIGHLIGHT IMPORTANCE OF MUSIC EDUCATION THROUGHOUT CENTRAL ILLINOIS

As a featured guest at the upcoming wine tasting fundraiser for the Central Illinois Youth Symphony (CIYS), Peoria Symphony Orchestra Music Director George Stelluto will speak about his plans for continued growth for music education in Central Illinois. According to Stelluto, collaboration between the arts and the community is crucial to building the next generation of musicians in the local area.

Maestro Stelluto will also highlight the great work of the Central Illinois Youth Symphony, an organization that has been committed to providing high-quality music education for more than 3,000 young musicians throughout its 45 year history. His remarks will also include a call for additional collaboration between arts organizations throughout the local area to increase community outreach and tackle continued reductions in music education funding.

Stelluto’s presentation will begin at 6:45 p.m..
