The 17th Annual Iowa Illinois Regional Auto Show Coming to the RiverCenter

The nation’s largest auto show producer, Motor Trend Sports Auto Shows, announces the 17th annual Iowa Illinois Regional Auto Show, coming to the Davenport RiverCenter Friday through Sunday, Feb. 11-13. The event, which showcases 2011 autos, and some 2012 models along with high performance cars, is a joint effort of auto dealers of 17 counties in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.

Show times are: Friday-Saturday, Feb. 12 & 13 10 a.m.- 9 p.m.
 Sunday, Feb. 14 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
NEW THIS YEAR: Ride & Drive! Auto show attendees will have a chance to get behind the wheel for a drive and get a real feel for the performance and handling of several vehicles from Chevrolet, Buick and GMC.
Special events during the show include:

 Sunday: Family Day — Kids 12 and under free. Personal appearances by Dora the Explorer – a Petting Zoo – Jumpy balloon inflatables – Milk & Cookies for the kids.

 Saturday and Sunday professional balloon artists & magicians will make animal characters for kids and perform magic tricks.

Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 SEMA Concept Race Car Simulators – Climb into the cockpit of two racers located in the Mississippi Hall to test your skills as a race car driver. FREE to attendees all show days, these racing simulators feature surround sound, wind and smoke machines to give you a realistic experience Proceeds from the Auto Show benefit the Iowa –Illinois Regional Auto Show Scholarship Fund. $25,000 will be awarded at a special presentation to six college bound students. This will take the scholarship total given to over $175,000.
