Proctor Hospital Officially Opens New Pediatric Patient Rooms
Emergency Department Adds Accommodations with Younger Patients In-Mind
Proctor Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of two new pediatric patient rooms to the Emergency Department. The rooms were officially opened on Friday, September 23 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, co-hosted by the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce, and a reception. The rooms were designed with pediatric patients in mind and come equipped with HDTV and include movies and games for children and adolescents.
The new pediatric rooms were funded in-part by the employees of Proctor Health Care, Emergency Physician Staffing Solutions, Peoria LLC (EPSS)-medical staff for the Emergency Department, The Proctor Health Care Foundation and Proctor Hospital.
Proctor’s Emergency Department includes 14 patient rooms, four observation rooms, and a negative pressure biohazard room.
