Thomas Lerczak will be signing his book, Side Channels: A Collection of Nature Writing and Memoir, on Saturday, October 15th from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at “I Know You Like a Book,” 4707 N. Prospect Ave., Peoria Heights, IL 61616.

In this unique collection of previously published articles, with several unpublished pieces and memoir, author Thomas V. Lerczak illustrates the natural beauty of the outdoors, mostly focused on the Midwest, with topics such as birds, birding, natural areas, and rivers, especially the Illinois River.

Lerczak’s memoir stories trace the development of his interests and perspectives on nature, from descriptions of himself as a boy being introduced to the outdoors in Chicago during the 1960 to a grown man contemplating the true meaning of a ”wilderness experience.”
