During this business holiday season, we would like to remind motorists of the importance of obeying disability parking laws. Handicapped parking spaces are clearly marked and should only be used by individuals with a valid disability license plate or placard.
Motorists who illegally park in disabled parking spaces can be fined up to $350. Additionally, motorists who illegally use a disability placard or license plate can be fined as much as $500, and have their driver’s license suspended for 30 days.
