Easter Seals receives grand for staff training

Easter Seals received an Opportunity Grant from the Community Foundation of Central Illinois, providing funding for Easter Seals professional staff members to attend a DSM-5 training in Peoria, Illinois.

On May 18, 2013 the American Psychiatric Association released a new version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, or DSM. The DSM is the standard reference that healthcare providers use to diagnose mental and behavioral conditions. The new version is referred to as the DSM-5.

Easter Seals, accredited by CARF International, is the largest provider of pediatric therapy and early intervention services in central Illinois, and offers a broad array of services for children with developmental delays and disabilities and their families.
