Peoria NOW announced their annual award winners in March. “We were looking for people who are actively involved in the lives of women and girls, women that give that extra measure of their time and talent,” says the co-president of NOW Peoria, Barbara Miller. Peoria NOW chooses individuals who contribute to the advancement of women and girls in the Central Illinois area.

· Lynn Scott Pearson, long-time Peoria County Board, member & former Board Chairperson

· Society of Women Engineers – Central Illinois Section

· Cathie Crawford, local activist for access to reproductive healthcare

· Amy L Scott, Ph.D., interim director of Women’s Studies program at Bradley University

· Janet Bantz Glavin, regional coordinator of ONE, a lobbying organization that fights extreme poverty and disease
