Neighborhood Notes for January 2015

* Three new neighborhood associations this year registered with the City, bringing the total of registered neighborhood associations to 105, reports Neighborhood Development Specialist Steve Fairbanks. Also, four new neighborhood watch groups were established, meaning that more than 75 neighborhood watch groups have been established in Peoria in the last eight years.

Also in 2014, 30 neighborhood associations hosted neighborhood dumpster cleanups, and in November, 25 residents of Peoria and Peoria County graduated from the City-County Leadership Academy, which introduces residents to City and County staff.
