Peoria Riverfront Museum is host to the worldwide traveling debut of “T.REX: The Ultimate Predator” created by the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. Now through Sept. 6.

The Peoria Art Guild will be hosting live demonstrations and classes from 6-9 p.m. June 1, 8, 15 and 22 with illustrator Camron Johnson, who has worked for Marvel, Adult Swim and Upper Deck. For details, phone 309-637-2787.

Film

The legendary 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival, long regarded as “the Black Woodstock,” is finally coming out as “Summer of Soul (…Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised)” – first at the Chicago Film Festival June 17, following by select theaters nationwide, and then to Hulu on July 2. Directed by Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, the 117-minute documentary shows that celebration of African American culture, pride and unity, featuring performances by the Chambers Brothers, the 5th Dimension, Mahalia Jackson, B.B. King, Gladys Knight & the Pips, Herbie Mann, Sly and the Family Stone, Mavis Staples, Stevie Wonder and others, with comments by the likes of Jesse Jackson, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Chris Rock.

Music

Musicians Judy Page, Preston Jackson, John Miller and Mike Nellas headline a Juneteenth celebration 6:30-8:30 p.m. June 19 at the Contemporary Arts Center also featuring poetry and other recitations.
