The Fine Art Fair is Sept. 25-26 along the riverfront on NE Water St. It’s the 59th anniversary of the Peoria Art Guild’s nationally recognized exhibition of original art.

The Bridge-To-Bridge River Drive art festival runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 18-19 at Tower Park in Peoria Heights. The Illinois Art League is sponsoring this juried festival including ceramics, fiber art, photography and painting. For more information go to:

CINEMA

Michelangelo Antonioni’s contemporary classic “Blowup” will show Sept. 3 at the Riverfront Museum, part of “Marc Eliot’s Art of Film” series.

COMEDY

Leanne Morgan will perform at the Peoria Civic Center Theater Sept. 10.

The Jukebox Comedy Club on Sept. 17-18 will present Ryan Singer in three shows.

MUSIC

The Central Illinois Jazz Society is presenting Kevin Hart & the Vibe Tribe Sept. 19 at the Trailside Event Center.

The Peoria Symphony’s “Symphony Triumphant” program Sept. 25 will feature material by Mozart and Beethoven in a concert at Grace Presbyterian Church.

STREAMING

Netflix will start offering the documentary “Blood Brothers: Malcolm X & Muhammad Ali” Sept. 9. Directed by Marcus A. Clarke, the 95-minute film traces the Black leaders from a chance meeting and friendship to a falling out caused by shifting priorities and growing distrust.

THEATER

Corn Stock is continuing “The Musical of Musicals (A Musical!)” – a comedic sendup of musical theatre – Sept. 2-5.

Peoria Players starts its season with a musical version of “Little Women,” directed by Peggy Breaux Hupp, Sept. 10-12 and 15-19.
