City of Peoria launches program focused on housing rehab

Applications are now available for the 2022 Housing Rehabilitation Program, which provides a 50/50 matching grant of up to $15,000 of assistance to property owners of single-family residential properties within Qualified Census Tracts (QCT).
Developed by the Community Development Department with $400,000 in federal funding, the program’s purpose is to increase the owner-occupancy rate within neighborhoods, improve the outward appearance of homes, and increase property values.
The program requires homeowners to be from a QCT and have total household income at or below 120% of the area median income by household size.

and select “Qualifying Census Tracts” from the dropdown menu under “Neighborhoods,” and visit the “Grants Management” section on the Community Development webpage at
peoriagov.org (go to the “Applications & Forms”.section).

Applications will be accepted and reviewed until the funds are exhausted.
