Young Professionals Organization of Greater Peoria to Speak With Congressman Aaron Schock  

Peoria, IL (June 3, 2014)—Members of the Peoria Area Chamber’s Young Professionals Organization of Greater Peoria (YPGP) will have the opportunity to speak with Congressman Aaron Schock (IL-18) on Thursday, June 5 at Bradley University. Discussions will focus on current issues in Washington and Congressman Schock will offer insight on opportunities for young professionals to get involved in their community and government.

YPGP hosts a social/networking event the first Thursday of each month for members; socials are held at different locations to support Chamber-member companies across Greater Peoria. The social on June 5 will be hosted by Bradley University’s Braves of the Last Decade (BOLD) at the new Hayden-Clark Alumni Center (816 N Tobias Lane-third floor in the Peplow Pavilion). Parking is available in the Main Street Parking Deck. Congressman Schock graduated from Bradley in 2002, making Bradley an ideal location for the Congressman to speak with area young professionals.

As a program of the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce, YPGP seeks to offer opportunities which attract and retain young professionals in the Greater Peoria Area. The Young Professionals Organization of Greater Peoria (YPGP) is a group made up of 20 and 30-somethings that have a mutual interest in social and business networking, community involvement, and professional development.
