October Book Clubs at Peoria Public Library

The following book clubs will meet in October and are open to new members. Discover the joy of discussing a great book with others this month!

Biography and Non-Fiction Book Club – Biography and Non-Fiction Book Club will meet on October 9 at 3:00 p.m. to discuss Eden’s Outcasts: The Story of Louisa May Alcott and Her Father by John Matteson. Call 209-497-2186 for meeting location.

Club Read – Club Read meets on October 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the North Branch to read and discuss The Corrections by Jonathon Franzen. Winner of the National Book Award.

Book ‘Em Mystery Book Club – Book ‘Em Mystery Book Club will meet on October 16, at 2:00 p.m. at Peoria Public Library North Branch to discuss The Singing of the Dead by Dana Stabenow.

Read On Book Club – The Read On Book Club will meet on October 25 at 5:30 p.m. to discuss They Tell Me A Home by Daniel Black. Call 309-497-2600 for meeting location.

Sci-Fi/Fantasy Book Club – The Sci-Fi/Fantasy Book Club meets on October 10 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss Unincorporated Man by Dani Kollin. Call 309-497-2149 for more information and meeting location.

A Little Romance Book Club – A Little Romance Book Club meets on October 2 at 2 p.m. at Peoria Public Library North Branch to discuss All I Ever Wanted by Kristan Higgins.

Evening Love to Read! Book Club – The Evening Love to Read! Book Club will meet on October 12, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at the Peoria Public Library North Branch to discuss The Last Station by Jay Parini.
