You Can Celebrate the Holidays – Even after the loss of a loved one – Pamela Shuck-Hoehne, MA, NCC, LCPC, RDDP will present “Surviving the Holidays without My Loved One,” Wednesday, November 16 at 6:30 p.m. The program is free. Sponsored by the Counseling Center at Proctor Hospital, Hoehne will share coping skills that may allow individuals who have suffered a loss through death, divorce or separation, to celebrate the holidays differently. The program will be held in the Proctor Professional Building Classrooms adjacent the Hospital at 5409 N. Knoxville Ave, Peoria.

November Seniors on the Go – It’s Free – The Hult Health Education Center and Proctor Hospital will present Seniors on the Go on Thursday, November 17 at the Hult Center for Health Education. The educational program is free to seniors. Seniors on the Go includes a morning and afternoon educational session. The morning program begins at 10:30 and the afternoon program begins at 12:30. Lunch is provided from 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.  For information about program topics and to register please call the Hult Center for Health Education at (309) 692-6650. November Coffee Connections Wellness Workshop – Come say hi, grab a coffee or snack and enjoy the wellness workshops!

The Counseling Center at Proctor Hospital is pleased to introduce a new wellness workshop series called Coffee Connections. The next workshop will be held Friday, November 18 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. and features Mark Hicks, LCSW. “Change Your Thinking” will be the topic.  Doing the same things over and over expecting different results is insanity. The only way to get different results is to change what you do. The process of change begins in your mind. Come learn how to create new thoughts and develop new thinking habits.  Come say hi, grab a coffee or snack and enjoy our wellness workshop, it’s free.  Call (309) 689-6001 to register.

Proctor Hospital Sponsors Free Medicare Help Desk – Proctor Hospital, in association with BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois’ Services in the Neighborhood program, offers a free Medicare Help Desk the fourth Wednesday of every month, from 9:00-11:00 a.m., in the Lobby at Proctor Hospital. The next scheduled Medicare Help desk will beWednesday, November 23. If you, or someone you know, have questions regarding Medicare, please stop by. No appointment is needed.
