The Peoria City/County Health Departmant board met Aug. 17 and held its first Lactation Excellence Awards, recognizing local businesses who support workplace breastfeeding by offering dedicated lactation spaces, flexible break times, and supportive policies.  Recognized businesses in the inaugural honors included Femme Health, OSF, Hy-Vee, and Maui Jim.
